David joined Macks as a Director to form our dedicated Wills, Probate, Trusts and Tax Department in 2003, bringing with him his own following of clients built up since qualifying in 1986 through recommendations from satisfied clients, Accountants, Financial Advisers and Solicitors from other firms who recognise his expertise in the field.
David specialises in inheritance tax planning, drafting Wills (both complex and simple) and the administration of Estates, particularly those of a high net value or involving a business or farm.
David prides himself on his client care skills and is keen for clients only to take such steps as they feel comfortable with once they have had all of the options and consequences fully explained to them.
Kerry Brundall attained her law degree at Manchester University before returning to her home town of Redcar to qualify as a solicitor in 1994.
Kerry joined Macks Solicitors in 2005 as an Assistant Solicitor in the Wills and Probate Department.
Kerry has 20 years experience in the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and the administration of Estates. Kerry has a particular interest in Court of Protection matters and acts as a professional Deputy for a number of clients who have received substantial compensation awards. She also assists clients in other applications to the Court of Protection, for example to act as a Deputy for a relative. In addition Kerry advises clients in the preparation of Personal Injury Trusts to place any compensation received through a personal injury in trust.
Kerry is a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly which is well-recognised national organisation. She holds a monthly legal clinic at Carers Together which is a local charity based in Redcar offering advice and support to people who are caring for others.
Lynda attained her law degree at Brunel University and trained at Cohen Jackson Scott & Simon in Middlesbrough with Nick Mack, the Managing Director of Macks. After a few years as a partner in the Wills and Probate Department of a firm in the East Midlands, she returned to work with her former colleague and friends at Macks in 2011.
Lynda has 30 years of experience in wills, probate and elderly client law. Lynda is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is a Deputy for her cousin, who has Down’s syndrome.
Lynda has written numerous articles, papers and presentations relating to her specialism and has appeared on local radio.
