by Macks Solicitors

A child has sadly died after being knocked over by a van as she walked on the pavement with her mother in Greater Manchester.

A van mounted the pavement and struck the four-year-old girl after it was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus, from which two men were seen running soon after the accident.

The mother of the girl, 22, was taken to hospital and suffered a broken leg in the accident. A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of the charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
