What is a Grant of Probate?

A Grant of Probate is the legal document issued by the Probate Registry to allow the executor to deal with the assets in the estate. We can assist with the following:-

Confirm the existence and validity of a Will
Apply for a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration (if there is no Will)
Identify and assist with valuing assets
Pay debts, taxes and expenses
Distribute the estate according to the Will or the rules of intestacy

More complex estates may take 9–12 months or longer
