Two dead in separate road traffic accidents in Wales

Two men died in separate road traffic accidents in Wales last weekend. Now their families are paying tribute to them.

84-year-old Donald Evans was crossing a road in Penarth when he was struck by a black Vauxhall Corsa coming down the street. Mr Evans was rushed to University Hospital of Wales. He was grandfather to 14 and father of six, and also has 12 great-grandchildren.

Sadly missed

Stephen Hoare, 44, was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a collision at traffic lights in Llantwit Major. He sadly suffered fatal injuries in the crash, when a black Ford Fiesta turned right into a side road and struck him, in the early evening of Saturday.

The driver who collided with Mr Evans has been released on bail. The great-grandfather was described as a lively member of the community in Penarth, and would be “sadly missed,” (BBC News, 2009).

Mr Hoare was a mechanic, and will be missed by his girlfriend and 15-year-old son.
