Boy standing on slipway dies after crash

Four-year-old Caleb Cameron was standing on a slipway not far from his home last Saturday when he was struck by a passing sea scooter. The child was rushed by air ambulance to Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, but suffered fatal head injuries.

His family, who spoke out after the crash about their sorrow, said Caleb “touched the hearts of everyone that knew him,” and publicly thanked the emergency services and Southern General Hospital medics who fought to save his son.

Police are still inquiring concerning the exact circumstances of the accident.
