A GMB member who damaged his shoulder in a workplace accident has been awarded £3,500 in compensation from his employers, despite the firm going into administration.
David Billingham aged 40, from Halesowen in the West Midlands was working as a caster for G Clancey Ltd, based in Mogul Lane, Cradley, when he sustained serious injury to his right shoulder in an accident in October 2006.

A young boy of 15 was tragically killed in a horrific accident at work .
Adam Gosling was crushed to death by a falling wall that he had been ordered to prop up. A court heard how Adam died instantly from massive head injuries as his horrified 18-year-old brother Dean looked on.
Adam and his brother were both employed by Colin Holtom as casual labourers and were working in the grounds of a five-bedroom house in Hadley Wood, north London when the accident happened in April 2007. Holtom, of Meadow Way, Latchingdon, Essex is on trial for manslaughter by gross negligence.

A welder who was injured in an accident at work has received £15,000 in compensation.
Brian Cornish fell from steel steps whilst working at a recycling firm in Plymouth on 9 January 2006. He fractured his right arm so severely in the fall that he was unable to return to work for over two months and had to undergo major surgery.
The 47-year-old was a self employed welder and had been subcontracted to Engineering Services, of Bridgend. At the time of the accident he had been further subcontracted to work at European metal Recycling’s Plymouth site in Faraday Mill Business Park.

A teenager from Slough has tragically died following an accident at work in Windsor.
Nineteen-year-old Jake Herring was working as a trainee design engineer for Grundfos Control Solutions, when he was fatally injured in an accident at the Fair Acres Industrial Estate in Dedworth Road on 30 March 2009.
The former student of Burnham Upper School was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A Devon based company who failed to prevent a serious accident in the workplace has been fined more than £50,000.
Lorry driver, David Farr was left severely disabled when he was crushed between a trailer and a metal shutter. Exeter Crown Court heard how Mr Farr had to have his right leg amputated as well as sustaining horrific injuries to his arms, bowel and bladder after an accident occurred during a loading operation in high winds in February 2007.
